Architectural Photography - Before and After Retouching: 04
Most finished images of my architectural and interior design photography are composites of several exposures to improve the dynamic range and contrast. The exterior retail photograph below of the California Closets flagship store in New York City is a rare example of an image based on a single exposure. Move the slider to see the image straight out of the camera and after retouching.
Before and After Retouching: 01
Architectural exterior dusk photography usually needs a lot of post-production work. Light levels and color temperatures, in the straight out of camera image, will never match. Skies often look dull and need to be replaced. Security flood lights and exterior wall speakers are usually a design catastrophe, but a necessity. And the list goes on and on. Move the slider to see the original straight out of camera image and retouched final version. Find at least 10 difference. ;-)
